Conveniently located just 15 km / 9 miles south-west of the vibrant city of Strasbourg, Strasbourg International Airport (SXB) is the gateway to the heart of France's charming Alsace region. Strasbourg Airport is easy to locate and lies next to the small town of Entzheim and is also close to Achenheim, Duttlenheim, Geispolsheim, Lingolsheim and Ostwald.

More than two million passengers a year travel through this modern airport on their way to some 50 domestic and international destinations (mainly European), including primary connections with the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Belgium. This high passenger traffic means that Strasbourg regularly appears within France's list of ten busiest airports.


The airport can be reached by car in 15 minutes by taking the A35 motorway to the D400 and then the D221, which goes directly to the airport. Entzheim train station, which connects to Strasbourg city centre, is a mere five-minute walk away from the actual terminal. Shuttle buses run every 20 minutes between the airport and Baggersee tram station, and of course, taxis are readily to hand if needed.

Strasbourg is the most significant metropolis in north-eastern France and is the capital of the Alsace province. Its ancient streets, monuments and wealth of museums provide the visitor with ample distractions. La Petite France is the city's historic 16th century neighbourhood and features cobblestone streets, restored buildings and fine restaurants. The Cathedrale of Notre Dame is the architectural highlight of Strasbourg with its distinctive pink hues and can be enjoyed during a watery cruise down the River Ill. Alsace is also renowned for its fine wines, beers and choucroute garnie, a famous Alsatian version of German sauerkraut.

The Alsace region of France is noted for its spectacular scenery and Strasbourg makes an ideal base to explore it all. However, Strasbourg Airport (SXB) is particularly close to the German border and within easy reach of the state of Baden-Württemberg, where Freiburg and Stuttgart are amongst the main highlights.
