Strasbourg: City Hotels and Accommodation
Many of the area's most popular accommodation options can be found in and around the bustling city centre, which is situated just 15 km / 9 miles from Strasbourg International Airport (SXB). A selection of hotels are located close to the Gare SNCF, on the western side of the city, just a short walk from the cathedral.
During the year, a variety of seasonal events attract large numbers of visitors to Strasbourg, meaning that hotels quickly become full. These include European Parliament sessions every month, except for August, where crowds of MEPs and other groups stay in the city. Therefore, advance reservations are necessary at these times, as the best hotels often get booked up months ahead.
Backpackers visiting the city of Strasbourg will find several hostels on offer, where beds are usually available.
